Forklift operator/ Dockhand

Programmed is seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Forklift operator/ Dockhand to join our client in Morwell. This role is critical to ensuring consignments are processed accurately, safely, and on time in a fast‑paced freight environment.

Consistent Monday–Friday hours (1:30 PM – 5:30 PM) potentially more

Key Responsibilities

• Perform checking and collection processes for incoming consignments
• Offload all consignments safely and efficiently
• Forklift Driving
• Label consignments, including routing and special handling labels
• Check consignments for weight and dimensions.
• Identify and process special handling consignments (e.g. dangerous goods, security/X‑ray, premium freight)
• Sort consignments into the correct loading area or unit
• Scan and link consignment data to the correct loading area/unit
• Assist with loading operations for the collection process
• Ensure all tasks are completed on time to meet operational deadlines

Requirements

• Valid Forklift License (LF) – essential
• Experience in some freight, transport, or warehouse dock operations
• Ability to accurately use scanning systems and basic computer skills
• Strong understanding of safe manual handling and OHS procedures
• Attention to detail with weights, dimensions, and labels
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, time‑critical environment
• Team‑focused with a strong work ethic
